Frequently Asked Questions:
Q: Can the phone charger be used in Mainland China?
A: Yes. The phone’s unique design can charge within the range of 100 – 240v 50/60Hz 0.15A.
Q: is it ok to use aftermarket phone charger?
A: Yes, as long as its output is within the range of DC 5.0V 600mA. (But it is recommended to use the original charger, so it will not shorten the battery life)
Q: How do you extend the use of the phone battery?
A: 1) Good Habit: completely exit the program after you’re done with the application;
2) Do not use the phone until the battery is completely depleted. Recharge the phone when there is a minimal percentage of battery left;
3) download ePhone applications (for example, “ES task manager”! How to use: install App; go to phone standby interface, press the blank area, and select “widget”, then select “ES task manager”, then an icon will appear on the home screen. The Blue number on the left represents phone memory; the Red number on the right represents the numbers of running applications. If you are not using an application, click on the icon, then the running applications will be closed) that will help you manage the programs that are running on your phone! Clean up the hidden programs! Save the usage of battery!
Q: How to connect ePhone to your PC?
A: Plug the USB cable into your PC, connect the other end of the cable to your phone, you should receive a pop up notification saying that a USB device has been connected. Your PC will begin installing the drivers for the phone, and you will be given an option to access the SD card.
Q: What to do if phone crashes?
A: If the ePhone has too many applications running at the same time, or if there are application errors, it could experience a sudden crash. If the phone crashes, remove the battery, then reboot your phone. If there are any unnecessary applications please delete them from the system.
Q: What if the SIM card cannot be recognized?
A: check if the SIM card has any damage on the metal area, if so, please get a new SIM card. Because the phone is bi-card, so please make sure you insert the right CIM card into the correct slot; also, don't exert force when inserting or removing the SIM card, you might loosen the connecting area. You should always gently and slowly push it in!
Q: Can you use Bluetooth Headset to answer phone calls?
A: yes. Before you answer your phone calls, you need to make sure the Bluetooth Headset and phone is connected. (See Manual for details)
Q: Can you switch language input?
A: yes. ePhone3 has 3 different language inputs that you can switch at any time. How to use: tap the area that you want to enter text, a menu should appear labeled “options”, select “input” then select the language you want to use with.
Q: Does ePhone3 support 3G network?
A: yes. CDMA1X/CDMA2000/EVDO 800MHz GSM/GPRS 900/1800/1900MHZ. support bi-card, bi-network and multiple frequency networks.
Q: will alarm still sound if the phone is off?
A: No. you need download application like “On/Off Time Set” to make the alarm sound if the phone is off.
Q: What if phone automatically shuts off?
A: Follow the steps on the website below, download the most up-to-date software.
Q: How to handle screen lock, unable to unlock, and/or touch screen not working?
A: go to http://u.115.com/file/clwqrjsy and download the most up-to-date software. Follow the instructions, and the problems will be solved!
Q: What if “NO RUIM CARD” and black screen appears?
A: Press the call button, an English notice will appear; press the call button on the left for 2 seconds and the keyboard will appear; select Number “5”on the keyboard (if you need to hide the keyboard, press and hold the call button for 2 seconds) follow the on screen instructions and accurately tap on the position it calls for (if the taps are accurate you will only need to tap 5 times, but if the tap positions are not accurate you will need to redo the process); Once you have completed the on screen instructions an English notice will appear again, then hold the call button for 2 seconds, then select number “9” on the keyboard and you will be done with the screen calibration. (Once you are done, reboot your phone). If your phone has the newest version of the software, then you can skip the reboot process after you calibrate your screen. Your phone will automatically reboot by itself.
Q: What if the back cover is loose?
A: take out the stylus, push the back cover up or down to adjust. (Warning: don't exert too much force; you might break the back cover)
Q: How to connect and change network?
A: 1) 2G regular SIM card connecting: 1) select “setting”, 2) “wireless and network”, 3) “Mobile network”, 4) “bi-card option” , 5) “default data network” (don't choose prohibited data network), and 6) “ GSM network”;
2) 3G phone connecting: follow the same instruction as 2G, but change last option from “GSM network” to “CMDA network”;
3) Wi-Fi Wireless connecting: 1) select“setting”, 2) “wireless and network”, 3) “WLAN”, 4) “WLAN setting” choose appropriate network name, enter password!
Warning: highly recommend to use Wi-Fi when the area has wireless option! If using 1) and 2) to go online, then it is recommended to purchase monthly data service from your service provider! When not using the internet, please select “prohibited data network”, in order to save battery power.
